Jon is a partner at Mosh Social Media. Mosh began in 2009 based on partner Jeremy Marks’ MBA project “Social Media For Business Use” at the University of Auckland. He and Jon Randles then set about creating a business model around the project and early clients included Fletcher Building, Hell Pizza & AMP. Julian Thompson later joined Mosh as a partner from an Australian digital marketing firm. Mosh continues to run as a leading social media marketing agency with a diverse client list including: AA, Airbnb, ANZ, Auckland Transport, Counties Manukau DHB, Maori Television, Panasonic, Te Wananga o Aotearoa, University of Auckland, Wynyard Group & Villa Maria.
Jon has a degree in English Literature and Classical Studies and a career that includes being GM of a Language school in Japan and a Business Banking Manager. Jon likes to emphasise the ‘human’ nature of social media and having been at the coalface since 2009, is one of he the most experienced social media managers in New Zealand. He has been presenting on social media since 2010.
